Corrections standard

Change the claim, preserve the trail.

This site is a public guide over a living research archive. It does not silently improve a sentence by hiding the source boundary that made the change necessary.

What triggers a correction

A correction is required when an edition identity, page or folio locator, translation, object date, rights status, claim type, source relationship, or visual identification is wrong or materially incomplete. It is also required when a source proves a stronger or weaker statement than the page currently makes.

Revisions should name the affected page, source card, claim label, date, and short reason. A correction that changes public evidence also changes the downloadable data set.

Known public boundaries

The complete Berlin Traiphum II 650 has not been transcribed or fully reviewed here.
Thai-language public pages are not published until they are genuinely translated and reviewed.
Restricted and unclear-rights research images are not self-hosted.
Modern identifications such as Manasarovar are presented as histories of localization, not unquestioned originals.

Current release note

24 August 2026: the public site was rebuilt around source cards, named objects, crawlable creature records, object-level image rights, dated history, and witness comparison. Unlicensed Berlin manuscript images were removed from the deployable site pending permission.
