The guide keeps getting better.
Old texts receive new readings, museum records improve, and objects become available in better images. When that changes what we know, the guides change too.
How updates work
We correct names, translations, dates, page references, image credits, and object identifications when better information becomes available. Important changes are dated here so returning readers can see what is new.
The downloadable bibliography and guide data are rebuilt at the same time, keeping the website and its public files together.
Work still in progress
- The published six-metre Himavanta section of Berlin Traiphum II 650 has been closely studied; the complete thirty-three-metre manuscript still offers much more to discover.
- Additional Thai-language material will be added as dependable translations become available.
- Images are hosted only when their reuse terms allow it; museum and library links lead to other objects.
- The relationship between Anavatapta, Manasarovar, and Kailash is presented as a fascinating history of interpretation and debate.

The site was rewritten as a welcoming guide to Himavanta. Creature pages, historical essays, reading paths, image credits, dates, and further-reading notes were refreshed together.

Stories now begin before navigation and data displays, mobile contents lists collapse, visible search-alias chips have been removed, five new thematic reading paths connect recently published guides, and article dates now distinguish publication from revision. Subject pages also use story, system, encounter, or visual arrangements instead of one universal sequence.
