# How to cite Himavanta.org

Each guide has a “Copy citation” button. A basic citation includes the page title, website, updated date, URL, and the date you visited it.

Suggested form:

For a particular historical detail, open “Notes and further reading” at the end of the guide. It gives the original book, text, object, and page or folio location whenever available.

When writing about an artwork or manuscript, include its title, date, collection, and original museum or library link.
